What level instrument should I have?
|
The industry has not standardised the terms used to describe flutes and their players, which can lead to confusion. A lower quality manufacturer will produce their "Intermediate" or "Professional " flute that may be inferior to the "Student" or "entry level" flute , made by a high quality manufacturer. Ignoring puffery and the promotional advantages of calling an instrument "Intermediate" or "Semi-professional" we group the instruments as below to simply help you make your selection. |

Higher quality instruments can be easier to play and more reliable so the best approach is to buy the best flute you can comfortably afford. |
